#gopink

WE DOUBLED OUR GOAL!

This June, the team at Adenbrook Homes made a pledge to #gopink in support of our corporate partners, the National Breast Cancer Foundation with a goal to raise $12,000 to contribute to ongoing breast cancer research – research that will detect tumours earlier, improve outcomes and ultimately save lives.

Go Pink month looked a little different across Australia for Adenbrook Homes. Each franchise got creative to raise awareness for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. We saw our Greater Sydney franchise owner Daniel Galea and site supervisor Ben Adams ‘Shave It’, our National Sales and Marketing Manager Christie Turner chose to ‘Colour It’ and each of our teams ‘Wore It’ with a custom PINK uniform. Nadia from the Gold Coast chose to wear bright Pink make-up for the month of June.  Our Marketing Team got active and each member chose different activities, Mel ran 150km’s to raise awareness and Lauren did 53 Sit-Ups per day for the 53 Australians who are diagnosed each and every day. Shelley and Charlotte James from our Hawkesbury Blue Mountains Franchise walked 150km’s together throughout the month of June.

And, finally the results are in… Adenbrook Homes raised over $24,600 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation which is double our goal! We are so proud of our achievement and the contribution we have made by taking decisive action towards a future without fear of breast cancer. This is a cause that is very close to our hearts and we vow to continue doing what we can to support such an incredible, life saving cause!

A huge congratulations to our Sydney and Wollongong teams who together raised over $16,000 which is an outstanding effort and something the team are very proud of. Daniel and Ben might be feeling the cold a little more now since shaving but their contribution is impressive and worthy of accolades. Well done everyone!

As a business we are always focused on how we can engage with the community and help those around us. When you consider how many lives are impacted by breast cancer every year, it was an easy decision for us to immerse ourselves in supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
